You can't. A couple years ago, people had problems with the framerates shooting into the thousands in the main menu. Keen "fixed" this the lazy way by hard capping the whole game at 60. They shortly realized their mistake and upped the cap to 120... But that's where it sits. It's hardcoded.

Ok you can shut up before you quote a console peasant by saying the fastest fps your eyes can see is below 120

It was a fair question. The difference between 120 and 144 is pretty small.

well, I mean, 120 is fairly smooth...
it's only 24 fps more...
I don't think your eyes can see that much.... yes, people who focus on framerates tend to comprenhend more fps on a screen then normal people, but not by so much...
I love how you dismiss it as a "console peasnant".... lol, you're so stupid #HybridMasterRace is what you should aim for.....

Pretty sure 60 FPS is the closest to how fast humans see motion irl. Anything past that isn’t very noticeable, unless you plan on viewing things in slow motion.

Pretty sure you're wrong too.

Although I like how both of you are using the refresh rates of your own monitors as the theoretical cap on the framerate that humans can see.

Depends on who you talk to, i've seen figures of up to 1k fps.

To notice, not to reach.

Ive seen 240s and they looked almost the same as 144
