need more VRAM?
I've been trying to play Space engineers, but it's extremely laggy. I've researched it, and I discovered that it was because of my measely 128mb of dedicated VRAM. Can I increase this number at all, or am I screwed?
System specs:
Processor: Intel(R) Core i5-8250U CPU @ 1.60GHz (8 CPUs), ~1.8GHz
Memory: 8192Mb RAM
Graphics: Intel(R) UHD Graphics 620
Approx. Total Memory: 4161Mb
Display Memory (VRAM): 128Mb (This scares me)
Shared Memory: 4033Mb
Please help, as I'm on a new laptop and I really can't get a different computer.

Since you have a laptop no. VRAM isnt you only issue. Your lacking in ram and your cpu's clock speed is too low. Your indergrated graphics card shares with your normal ram upto a point

This is kinda true, but not quite.

Your CPU uses your normal RAM as VRAM up to a point. That is to say, you don't actually have a graphics card. That Intel UHD Graphics 620 is just the integrated graphics engine that's built into your processor.

As you're on a laptop, there's no upgrading this.

This is never a good arrangement for gaming. Integrated graphics are very weak compared to a discrete graphics card.

I'd refund Space Engineers if you're still able.

Update: I was able to increase my VRAM through the registry editor, and space engineers runs fine on low graphics settings.
