The part where it has the display adapter is a generic windows video card driver you need to find what type of video card is install.

Is it prebuilt system i.e dell machine as they have a nasty habit of using onboard video adapters

NVIDIA GTX 1080 Ti 11GB is what it says on amazon which is where i bought it from

get your hands on GeForce Experience and reinstall the NVidia Drivers.

You are running the Windows Stock Drivers.. aka the very Basic Stuff to even show SOMETHING on your Monitor.

You will need to download the latest driver for your card from nvidia.

http://www.nvidia.com/Download/index.aspx

You will just need to select the proper card and os that you are running and download the driver.

Once installed, you should be able to run space engineers. Might require a system restart.

thank you

Also make sure the monitor is plugged into the graphics card and not a video port on the motherboard. A Nvidia GTX 1080 TI will have multiple ports on a separate card where the motherboard port will be in the same location as usb and other ports.

Look at the 5th picture down.

click Steam | Help | System Information and post that again so we can see what driver is installed.

Also double check what video output you've plugged into the monitor. Back of the motherboard is your onboard graphics. A video card should be in a slot (usually below the motherboard video outputs).

DX12 cards is backward compatible with DX11 and DX9, as long as you have apropriate DLLs installed on your system, and real video driver from vendor of course.
try DXWebSetup from Microsoft

Note: DX12 & DX11.3 native supported by Windows 10, for DX9 & DX10 & DX11.1 & DX11.2 you will need DXWebSetup

disable the onboard graphic adapter in the bios or force the PCI-Express as the Primary adapter then install drivers .
