If you set the landing gear to autolock you can kinda slam into the pirate ship and grab it.
I do not understand the thruster override issue. That seems like a sound solution.
Did you check the autopilot?
It may be that, though you own the vessel, the remote control's autopliot is still active and programmed with the pirates' goal--in your case to escape the player.
Deactivate the autopliot is you haven't already. Destroy the remote control block if necessary.
Then make sure you are piloting from the main cockpit.
Are you aboard the Argentavis?
The remote control is locked.
Destroy it. Take a grinder to it, or shoot it if that's more fun.
Last time I tried this (over a year ago), I could pilot the pirate ship on a course back to my base without much issue.
I've ground down everything on the ship and took over everything. The only thing I haven't taken over is the gun at the front which is nearly broken and I don't have the parts with me to repair. Need the ammon from it.
I'll grind down everything I can, but I doubt I'll get that done before I die due to low O2
Thing is I already hacked it and set ownership to myself but it wouldn't let me take control. I could change and edit settings on it, just not take control or override the engines
Oh ok
