Alt Middle Click Question
Since the economy update, I've been loving the new mouse options for inventory management. Being able to right click a block to add the missing components to the build planner is great. Combine that with being able to middle click a port on my base/ship to pull all those components out makes it even better.

However, I've come across some weird behaviour with Alt middle click to dump my inventory. It takes everything from my inventory but it seems to stick those items in random inventories in my base/ship. I figured that, if I was Alt middle clicking a port on a block with an inventory, it would act the same as pressing F to open the GUI and hitting the button to transfer everything out of my inventory.

For example, I have a large cargo container that I'm Alt middle clicking on, but the items end up in connectors, small cargo containers and even my assembler inventories instead of the large cargo container.

Is this the way it is supposed to work? I'm starting to go back to pressing F and hitting the transfer all button so that things don't end up all over the place.

Hi, I recommend to verify the community Testers reports to find similar with SE programmer comments in. = That will give you more clues on what is going on so you can report it if not in.

All Testers participating goes to the Portal :

= First thing to do to know more ^

I did not tested this one very much and I am not sure on how it works so I why recommend to read the similar reports and report if not in to vote on :selike:

Hi, this is from 2019 and would be better to create a new forum discussion because the game is not the same now.

You will have help with 24 hours by creating new and your discussion may be sent to the SE team if it got the current month date on it.

_________

Maybe watch one of the SE YouTubers a lot like > Splitsie <, he shared a SE Tuto about "Build Planner " :

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DpRE0BjZcI0

And report on the Support Portal if it is "bugged"

To be honest, I'm not sure if it is still an issue. I haven't been paying that much attention to it. Nowadays I either use a script like Isy's Inventory Manager or I just clean up my inventories from time to time manually. Besides, using the Build Planner, I just middle click to pull the items I need and I get them regardless of where they are stored. If I don't have all the needed components, I just shift middle click to put them into production.
