Cant Access Beta Code

I want to access the beta versions and i want to get the beta code so i can get it.

as far as i know the game is still in early access/alpha so there are no beta codes. maybe you are in the wrong game-forum?

when i click properties on the game and then the betas tab it wont let me access it, i was just using it a minute ago and thne my friend wanted me to join so i had to downgrade then i couldnt access it anymore

What did you do to fix it???

Edit: I just found out how. It doesn't seem to want to let you switch the game into a beta after you just got off the game. I restarted Steam and that fixed it. (Leaving this here so if anyone else has this problem, which apparently persists through time and numerous updates)

On behalf of everybody, I am going to tank you in advance for solving about a year of headache and hassle me and my friends were having logging onto a private server when updates would pop up and my friend couldn't just stop and update it (im not gonna wake him up at 2am lol.) Gonna link to this thing in other forums as it was a little hard to find at the time.
