Is there a gravity generator distance viewer?
Hi engineers.

Is there a way to view how far a gravity generator reaches using some kind of visible boundery? Wireframe or something?

Thanks!

Yes. You need an antenna on the grid then on the info screen you can enable gravity fields visuals and it will put a colored box. The same is true for sensors. But you need an antenna on the grid for them to be visible.

This is not a very well documented feature.

You need an antenna on your grid first.

Next go into control pannel and select the gravity generator
Turn the "show on hud" option on
Now go to info tab and check the box on the right "show gravity range"

Now you see grav fields like this :)

That's ok because I forget the "show on hud" Damn this has got to be the dumbest interface in gaming.

Not that I can add much, but don't forget to make sure both your character, and the antenna are set to broadcast. It is normally on by default but this has tripped me up a time or two.

Yup. I swear for something that should be a simple "Click to show" it is instead a 6 step process. Any one of which can keep it for working.

Just another example of the Devs not actually playing the game. No way a programmer who had to use this feature more than once would think it to be optimal.
