Basic Sections/Parts for a capital (large) ship
Hi, i´m re-doing my capital ship for space only, but maybe idk if i did it right.
The ship is not finished yet and i always change it for a better desing and good look so i suppose the minimum parts would be:

-Medic Room
-Storage Room
-Reactor/Energy Room
-Hangar
-Control Bridge+Aux bridge (i mean where you take control of ship idk if the word is right xd)
-Crew Room
-Meeting Room

I don't know if i need to create more necessary rooms to create a full operational ship.
Also this is my first big ship and i'm trying to make it most effecient as i can. Thanks for any help:FrogPepe:

I like to put gyros somewhere out of the way. Depending on the mass of the ship, you may need a lot of them anyway and they can be rather unsightly. Often there are gaps and stuff in the design where gyros can be snuck into. Scattered around also means they're less likely to all get destroyed at once.

There is a pinned discussion for a [UESC] Construction Contest. This one is for a space station but if you search for past ones you'll find building requirements for capital ships as well as overall build requirements.

You might find this helpful. They list things like accomodations for min 10 people, controls stations for everyone, oxygenated rooms with independent oxygen supplies.

And the examples they show might also give you a clue.

But also look at the workshop for examples.

My personal advice (and pet peeve) make sure you have access coridors to all components in order to be able to repair them. I don't like it when people bury gyros or timer blocks under decks or behind walls.

Thanks to all of you, i´m gonna try to make every room accesible for the rest of the ship and individual oxygen supplies for every part (also small ships hangar).

Should i put jump drivers in? At least maybe LCDs panels would worth it
