VeryGames.net as server Host recommended?
A friend and my self experience some performence issues with our nitrado server, and we thourhg about sswitching to another host because nitrado is kinda expensive to upgrade and we read online than some issues come from Nitrado.

We found Verygames.net which sounds kinda great and isn't as espensive, unlimited ram, good cpu, 6 slots. Does anyone have some epxerience with this host and can recommend VeryGames for our SE server? If not, which one would you guys recommend? We are kinda lost right now :P

Your performance problems with Nitrado were not because of Nitrado, they were because of SE.

Well no, not these problems...

We use it for our server. 24 - 7 A Quick-Start PvPvE - Space Survival. We have a couple huge bases and frigates flying around and no server issues come up. I've done many of tests with Shift+F11 and it's a pretty solid server. However, most common graphical issues are client side. SE could really use a patch soon.
Come join us and check it out for yourself.

Actually I am wondering the same thing. I understand that the current "stable" build is not optimized atm and also heard the game is utilizing one core, but I can't help but wonder if some off the problems I'm experiencing is due to my hosting co., Gameservers.

Of course there are a lot of problems client side and from SE, thats true, but some are because of server performence, the server is constantly on the edge

I use gameservers.com and have IMO good server performance. I can not compare them though as they're the only hoster I've used.

Ive used PlugPayPlay. I have no complaints except that their customer support takes about 8 years to respond to a problem, but when they do they fix it. (Even if it is really a SE problem.) I recently switched to PingPerfect. Ping's customer support responds in about 5-10 minutes but is of zero help, even if it is their problem. I have noticed that the ping server hangs during boot sometimes, but getting them to admit it is a uphill battle.

So Wolf3y I am having an extreme problem, meaning every say 15-20minutes, where my ping goes from about 40 to 250 and also constantly getting low sim memory warnings. All I have is a very modest base and trying to build a ship, refinery/assembler hardly is running in background.

Can I ask, is this your experience as well?

not even close. I had 8 ref's and 24 assemblers running a smaller sized modded ore miner, a nicely sized home base ship, and a very large station with modded rotors.

every once in a while you can see it lock up, but it's not server side. that's my pc dieing. I got some upgrades for Xmas and it has been lovely smooth since.

Don't want to necro Zero33 but I'm eager to know what you end up using as I'm kinda lost in the woods of game servers, and this thread doesn't reveal that ;-)
