Where can you find gold, platinum, and silicon in lone survivor?

Almost Everywhere on a planet (Except for Platinum, that is a space or moon only resource), but You need to build yourslf a Large Grid Survey vessel with a Large Ore Detector in order to find it. The small grid Ore detector is too weak and doesn't have the range to detect a lot of underground ores.

on asteroids or by grinding down stuff on your platform i reckon

naw dude you dont need to jump straight into a large ship. you can make a small mining ship with small ore detector first. heck you can fly with your jest pack and a hand drill to nearby asteroids to get enough stuff to feed your refinery - (uranium is on your starter asteroid with ice and iron. anyway - theres more than one way

ah, sorry, thought you were on a planet. Nvm. Still you'd be amazed at the ore deposits a small grid Ore Detector will miss, even in space. The max detection range of the large detector makes it infinitely more preferable in any circumstance.

Use your GPS to mark asteroids with different ore you find (with waypoint)

This post is old but just in case anyone else comes looking, if you stick around the base long enough. Meteors that hit your asteroid can bring rare mineral deposits.

play some hourse on armageddon mode and u will have plenty of platinum even on earth near ur base (should be hiden in a mountain °°) did this 9 hourse the complete icefield (which are usaly large and big ) was on earth complete terraformed thru metorits

Never open those idiotic crates falled from orbit. Maybe to made 100kg of platinum ingots in some of them?
