No I am doing creative atm and if I was playing survival it would be worse, since I would have to look for new minerals to re-build it everytime this happens.
Actually in survival when you place a block and build it, if it has ownership that can be set, it will be owned by the person who welds it up past the blue line on its weld progress bar. Single player survival, that will always be you.
Just a quick tip for the problem you are having in creative though. The turrets have an option to "Target Neutrals" and it can be turned off (scroll to the bottom of its info, its above "use conveyors") that might make it a bit easier.
Second thing, in the control panels, click on any items name in the list, then Ctrl A to select all and batch-change all ownership to you every...I dunno, 50 blocks? Hour? However often you figure is good.
I often wondered myself why things you add in creative get added as no owner. Seems odd.
awesome, ty for that info. Should solve my probs perfectly.
I actually understand why they set at least some things as neutral since they want player-made content to be shared and Im guessing that makes transfer of ownership easier, I just couldn't figure out why my turrets thought they were enemies.
