Do you know if theres a way i can get the Hydrogen to flow into my tanks as well. I have a way i can get it to work again but then i make a loop and my sorter has a field day with it.
well its a bit tricky -> but basically you have to put the sorter "backwards"
Aka normally if you wanted to Push/pull items from A to B you would put A->Sorter->B
but with gases it you want to move gas from A to B you will have to put it other way around Aka A<-sorter<-B this will enable gas to move from A to B.
it is sorta counter intuitive -> dont know why keen did it that way -> its seems sorta like a bug or a design flaw.
Very interesting! I'll have to give it a try.
Yer just did it trying to stop items looping (hadent come back here yet) and now my gases flow correctly. Strange way of doing it too the point the headaches it has given me nearly had me throwing in the towel on the whole game.
While i app the joke atm that is the best way to go -> imagine the chaos if we had to use additional dedicated pipes to allow flow for each gas aka one set of pipes for oxy , another set for hydrogen, another set for but.t gases) -> so jokes aside current conv system might not be perfect but it is efficient -> aka it could be a lot worse. and that would translate into much bigger designs (aka more clunky and way more suspectible for damage).
So i had to throw on a seconed line since i put a stop gap betwwen my Container and my Tanks so i could actually get gas into my tanks. But now i decide i really want some oxy so i dont run out why building and die. But then i was back to problem A with i had a loop.
At this point i think im up ♥♥♥♥ creek if i want to breath i have a loop, so i go ah ill throw in a sorter stopping the items comeing out. But then i realise (so i think) the sorter will stop the gas from flowing. In the end i just make it for ♥♥♥♥♥ and giggles and too my suprise its flowing.
But in short if your after a set up with a filter to pull items to another ship like i was you will haft to install too lines. One in one out. Thats what i think he was trying to say.
aka connector -> behind it a large sorter which would be connected to his storage containers
as for tanks and gases -> from the small port on the connector pull a line to the hydrogen/oxygen tanks. You could also add a small inverted conv sorter (with black listed items) there (to suck the gases in but keep items from being pushed from the ships hold).
So always one connector its just 2 conveyor lines (on the small ship not the base)
