How do I pause Space Engineers on a laptop?

I have an HP Envy laptop, and since everyone working at HP is apparently retarded, they put a number pad on the keyboard but NO PAUSE KEY. I CAN'T ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ PAUSE THE GAME. I have an offline campaign singleplayer world, and I can't figure out how to pause it (yes, I tried right shift.) Apparently noone else has this issue, because I can't find a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ sentence on it online, so how the ♥♥♥♥ do I pause? If i can't then how do I change the key bindings? If I can't, how do I murder the developer of space engineers?

If you are in an offline game the escape key should pause the game

If you are in a private or public or any of the other game types which are not explicitly offline, I don't think you can pause.

I'm not a ♥♥♥♥♥♥, okay? I'm just frustrated that I'm having to give up hours of my life to fix this ridiculous fault in the game.

So calm down and you might yet get some.
Though at this point I am wondering if the campage is actualy set as a private game type rather than offline. If I remember right it requires a connection to play it as each stage is downloaded as you need it...

I actually specified that I tried that and it didn't work. Read the question before answering it.

Press escape.
Select options.
Select controls.
change drop down from General to system 2.
Look for the pause option and assign a new keyboard key.

Rebind it to a different key, perhaps?
