And you'd prefer doing all of that rather than having a simple hand-held tablet looking thing that you could plug into a block (Cockpit, turret, door, etc.) and hold the LMB until hacking was complete then the block would either be unlocked or shut down? Seriously?
You have a grinder, so you grind out the locked computer components and then replace them with your unlocked versions. Simple, efficient and doesn't require additional programming for a mini-game that few would enjoy.
I said absolutely nothing about a mini game. I don't know where you're getting that from.
Generally agreed. But I'm a little more on the fence about it. Wouldn't like mini-games.
You do this process, but are getting the computer parts the block, somehow unlocking them without effort, then putting them back in.
It just doesn't make any sense to use a grinder (which would damage the machinery, not hack it) and suddenly it works for you? A tool used to hack doors, cockpits, and other things. Just hold the LMB like you do with all the other tools.
