Power usage ?

How do i check power usage of my ship ? I want to know specifically what components are consuming power so that i can disable them.

I'm not sure there is a vanilla way to do it other than looking at each component in the inventory/control screen. If you're OK with mods, there is an LCD mod that will put all of your power info on a screen for you I think.

When you sit in a command chair or flight seat you will see a total in the box on the hud. Opening the Control Panel and scrolling thru the blocks will show you the power requirements of major power consuming blocks. Some items like lights do not display their power usage but they are constant and you can toggle them on and off then check the hud to see what they use.

Conveyors use power but cannot be powered off and / or are not displayed in the control panel. But I believe their total usage is displayed somewhere.
