The demo is the current full version of the game. Purchasing the game, means that you will still have access to the latest versions of the game, when we stop supporting (updating) the demo. Purchasing the game will also upgrade your account, and allow you to use our blueprint hosting system and expand the number of skins you can have uploaded to your account at once, when these features are done.
Basically, in its current state, there is no difference game wise between the demo and full. This is because we want people to have access to the current full version we have now, whilst in Alpha. We think people should be able to play for free an open alpha game, and have the option to purchase the game for when we are out of alpha. If you purchase the game now, it will be cheaper, as the price will increase as more features are progressively added. This will reward users who have supported us early in development.
Hopefully, it's more clear now.
Not only because of your work, but you guys brought back DEMO into early access.
Just wanted to say that. :)
Edit:
I will hearby declare you guys as customer friendliest team so far! (not an official award, but maybe something worth for the feels. ;) )
Thanks, we only thought it was fair.
As well as thanks for the award, we humbly accept.
Even a lot of triple A titles don't do Demos anymore. It's really quite sad since thanks to all the shoveware hitting the market these days players are even less likely to buy untested products because they have been burned one to many times.
Much better than buy full price AAA title because of hype advertising. Game sucks.
Thankfully though there are a lot of Let's Play's and reviews, but I prefer trying demos just to see if my computer can handle it adequately.
