Servers almost empty?

Today both BF1 and BF2 servers are literally empty with not even 10 players.

There's a good amount of players right now.

on pc its pretty dead yeah but thats to be expected with pc,
ps5 still has a pretty healthy player base its pretty much on point to pcs player base
but the servers will get populated again when the update rolls out,
since thats a stupid trend i been seeing in pc and console games recently,
only play a game after a update,

no one has patience anymore, everyone knows first week and a half of a games launch is always garbage,
idk what anyone expected,

aspyr never been that good of a porting company and their servers have always been garbage, but at least singleplayer and splitscreen works just fine though which is whats important imo.

but yeah its not surprising the servers are dead, even though people fail to understand to never play on official servers.

Or maybe the multiplayer netcode is just total ass, they're worse than the originals from 20 years ago.

This is a PS2 port so the split screen is 2p instead of 4p like Xbox and it's also missing Hero bots from the same superior console version. Among other issues..

I don't recall the last time seeing a port so much buggier than the original..

Everyones either refunded it (myself) or just given up since all the problems they have experienced. If you've not gone over the 2 hour limit just refund it. Unless you want to play the single player which isn't bad, although i believe there are bugs on Battlefront 1 that causes crashes.

is everyone playing single player? Steam says there's 2000 players currently but there's barely a full server.

Not on Steam, and the collection is refunded.

There's a 47/64 player server on the OG Battlefront II 2005. The biggest server on Battlefront II CC has 10 players Admittedly, it was 2:30am when I checked. Battlefront I has just 3 servers. I'm leaning towards a refund - especially with the sale happening.

The server browser isn't show all servers for some reason.

Server browser I had to refresh a bunch. But I refunded after 2 matches. Reinstalled 2017 and yeah there is nothing CC did that was better. I understand some had to hope CC worked out due to compatibility. Feel like aspyr knew that and took advantage of those with compatibility issues. If you want a real Bf experience just play the first remaster. Plus you can mod it if you choose :)

To see hidden servers you have to spam open the server browser aka: open it and re close it and re open to find hidden servers for some reason the listing is still broken and not showing the full roster was just in a full lobby on bf2.
