Can you explain to me the difference between this classic collection and the OG games on Steam?
So I just bought the classic collection and already owned the OG Battlefront 2 on steam. What is the difference between this and the original? Haven't really played the OG Battlefront 2 on here but it says it has Online PVP so why not just play that and buy Battlefront 1 for less the price? Anyone give me a list of differences between the OGs and this collection?

one difference (and the main reason I bought it even though I have swbf2 on pc) is the split screen and the superior controller support :steamhappy: the fact that the pc release didn't have split screen is INSANE to me since that is the best part of the ps2 version I played as a fetus.

There is only two major differences, everything else people have spouted off as "features" or "updates" to this collection are misinformed on what the original game has.

The collection only adds official controller support.
And brings back some maps that were locked to the original console releases,

Both of which of course were added thanks to mods for the original game for years, but to each their own.

Starwars Battlefront 2 2005 had 64 players server since 2017, I can't promise you would've found a group playing on said servers nowadays but they are there.

Remind me where I can find splitscreen for the original on PC

Didn't even mention expanded Hero Assault or two added characters which was mentioned on the store page

I think it's here: https://www.swbfgamers.com/index.php?topic=11251.0

It's just kind of a pain to get set up. Part of why I was so excited for the Classic Collection. But it's a complete let down with the fact that both players need a controller. Rather than having one player on a controller and the other on keyboard or even two keyboards.

Wow would you look at that.. a mod. Not what I asked for.

This 'remake' version is a console port. That's why it has splitscreen and no inverted mouse controls.
