Great demo
This was the most impressive indie demo so far.

I only have 2 pieces of feedback:
  • Difficulty feels VERY cheap when lack of dodges makes damage unavoidable. I know it's supposed to be "fixed" with metaprogression, but it feels dumb to have to max out a skill tree to stand a chance. Moving doesn't help in most circumstances. Dodging even 2nd boss is close to impossible without multiple mobility skills.
  • Basic attack on 2nd character (the sword one) feels very clunky in unboosted state. Maybe it's not an issue if meta progression dramatically boosts charge rate of the ultimate, but if not vast majority of time basic attacks are risk with no reward to speak of.

Nitpicks:
  • Consider trimming skill descriptions. Current ones are readable, but are difficult to judge at a glance.
  • Cut down on the unnecessary dialogue at the start (or at least give an option to skip it in chunks and not 1 line at a time). Tutorial was painful, when there's only 1 thing I needed to know: Skill gems (forgot the name) and Ctrl to move them to other skills.
  • When taking big damage from boss I get bounced. It looks awkward. Consider replacing that bounce animation with pushback animation. It would behave identically mechanically.

Mist (the 2nd char) has the most op and fast basic attack, not clunky at all, for me best char to play with :steamthumbsup:
Dodges on the other hand are a problem sometimes...
