Ammo/Supply Drops/trucks Useless

Well back during MOWAS1 those kind of Ammo drops or Supply trucks were useful now they only contain mines, grenades, repair kit, gas, and a single sandbag. What's up with this? Why are these things now the most useless unit in the game?

You do know about auto-supply mechanics that were implemented last patch, right?

Ammo and shells are converted into points that trucks and boxes contain, and they have some kind of <aura> , inside of which all your units re-supply automatically, using up those aforementioned points.

Sandbags are usually in engy trucks, drop ammo nades boxes and certain infantry comes with them too, repair kits are still in most trucks and resupply trucks do contain gas. New system allows you to get a lot more ammunition out of 1 truck than before, in old system if you were going to resupply lets say 2 mortars u had to transfer ammo then split it and it was usually only 100 mortar shells. With new system you can park the truck near 2 mortars and while they mortar when they drop under 30 shells or so they keep getting more automatically.

But wait thats not all! You can actually transfer all the mortar rounds from both or 1 mortar into the truck and the truck will resupply more (as long as the orange meter on the truck is not empty) and if you repeat this few times you will have a lot more mortar shells in the truck than what you started with! Further, if you find weapons on the battlefield truck will resupply it as long as orange bar on it is not empty, where in old systems if you took all the piat in inventory, thats it there was no more etc....

I'm not saying I'm bashing the system, I'm asking why they come with NOTHING of use. The ONLY thing those ammo drops or supply crates come with are:

"GRENADES, MINES, REPAIR KIT, GAS, A SINGLE SANDBAG KIT" NO AMMO WHAT SO EVER.

You can still loot dead soldiers for it.

Tons of Micro management that is uneeded. Just include the ammo when it spawns.. Like before... Cause you'll have to go around looting dead soldiers with a truck that usually destroys the storage entity.

Did you actually read my post? I suggest you re read it because you can still get all the ammo those boxes used to have, any units near it that have less ammo than specific set low value will get resupplied with ammo for the weapons they posses, so if you really cant live without seeing ammo in those boxes u can walk up with machine gunner next to the box transfer all the mg ammo from soldier to box and the box will use its own resupply to give your machine gunner a lot of mg ammo automatically while the ammo you put in will stay in the box, repeat this few times and you will have a lot of mg ammo in the box.

There is actually less micro management now, lets say you loot a weapon you did not have or enemy weapon off the ground you walk near truck or box within the highlighted radius and your soldier will automatically get ammo he needs as long as the box or truck still have the orange bar not empty(which is a lot) and your soldier will ammo for all wepaons he needs, same with vehicles but they only receive ammo they need if it falls under certain level, in other words trucks actually contain more ammo than ever before. Situation, you have at gun, mortar and a lot of troops all close by in trench and you drive a truck with new system and park it, the truck will keep resupplying both cannon, mortar and all the troops whenever their ammo is low.

But... if you still love to have ton of ammo you can just do the method I described earlier.

I REALLY, don't want to go around with MY soldiers putting ammo in, I'd rather have it ALREADY in there. When it SPAWNS.

Try to do what I described and you will realize how much better this system is. Not only each truck(heavy ammo) contains more ammo than ever before in reality but you can get resupplied of a lot more ammunition variety than before.

You can also revert to the old version by going to your Steam library -> right mouse click on AS2 -> properties -> betas -> previous_version

And what's funny is like Tank ammo, You really.. REALLY have to have another tank on the battle feild of the same caliber to get ammo for it, not like it was, where it came with EVERY round in AP, and HE. For your faction of course.

Note I'm about to upload a screenshot and show what the "Supply" trucks come with. I like the system don't get me wrong, I hate what it comes with.

Lol yeah take it back tp the previous version of the game thanks that helps!!!! =D

I don't know I liked just being able to get my veteran sniper a ridiculous amount of ammo instantly from the supply drop, and not have to have him wait andstand there as he arms up...
