Original Myst images?

The marketing blurb says you can look at the original Myst slides. Can anyone explain to me how this works?

Only works if you're playing in classic mode. Basically, you hold down the shift key, and it brings up a little box with the slide from the original game. Doesn't serve much of a purpose, other than to look at differences between the two versions.

Suppose its nice to see the differents while your playing as a little extra...think if they wanted to go that way...why not show the differents with the old realmyst...unless those slides are that....lookin at them they look like the 2d version of Myst.

They are the shots from Myst: Masterpiece Edition (which is essentially the same as the original 2D Myst), not realMyst. I guess it was pretty easy to import all of those images into the game, whereas showing realMyst images would have required that they go around realMyst taking 2500 screenshots. Also the difference between Myst and realMyst: Masterpiece is much more pronounced, so it looks more impressive :)
