Stoneship Age Glitch
Hi. So I'm having an issue with the Stoneship Age. I know the book is in the cabin of the sunken ship. I raised the ship, but when I open the door, there isn't a cabin. Instead, I see the water and rocks under the ship. Would anyone know how to fix this glitch?

I had the same thing because I had changed the graphic settings to low. I flicked them back to medium and the cabin appears.

I had the same problem not only with the cabin not appearing the first time I went on the ship I got stuck under it and had to climb the rocks toward the giant gear. Also any type of navigation on the ship (just walking around) is super quirky. Finally once I got off the ship resaved then entered back on I could get to the room (still fighting a very quirky nav (in both modes) then I could see the book on the chair but couldn't look down at it nor touch it. I have my graphics at medium high with a dual core i7 and over 2gig of RAM should have enough to handle this game...in fact everything thing else works great (except the nav in classic mode can act up from time to time). I love the game and loving this trip down memory lane but did I get a dud game? Has anything been done since last year to fix this?

UPDATE:
Just opened the game today(next day) was able to navigate on the ship go below and activate the Stoneship book...so far so good! I don't know if an adjustment was made overnight or a case of "just turning it off and back on again" ;-) ...either way wanted to pass along the update.

I'm having a different issue with the cabin on the ship. I was able to open the door and get to the Stoneship age linking book, but decide not to link at that time. Next time I went back I wasn't able to open the door to the cabin. I have quit and reloaded the game a few times but still not able to enter the cabin. Is this a bug? (Playing on a boot camped Mac in Windows 10, which otherwise works great.)

realMyst: Masterpiece Edition is available on both Mac and Windows 10. Why are you playing on a boot camp?

I thought I read that it wasn't compatible with Catalina OS 10.15.7. But I suppose I could try that. I guess I'd have to start over then?

Tbh, if you already know how the riddles are solved, you will get back to where you are pretty fast.

I encountered this bug today. It was pretty weird. I spent ages walking around, under water, and under the pier. Twice I ended up falling through the bottom of Myst island, then it reloaded and put me back under the pier.
I had a save point just after raising the ship, so when I used that one rather than the exit-game save point, opening the boat cabin revealed the linking book rather than the water under the hull.

@compass_drg: Are you playing in VR or 2D on a monitor? Lately I only play in VR and now there are 2 different VR versions of Myst to confuse things, the first Myst VR on the Quest2 and the more recent Myst VR for PC based VR. Lol how many different editions of Myst have we to try and figure out when someone is asking for help. Not meant as a criticism, just clarity.

This thread is about realMyst: Masterpiece Edition, not the Myst (VR, 2021) that released in August this year.

If the issues being seen are for that Myst, this is the wrong forum to post them in.
