I bought it on PS5, actually only as a small afterwork time killer until Space Marine 2.
I did not expect much, but it actually plays pretty great. Thr price tag of 40 bucks seems pretty high, but for this we get a well produced game that feels like Destiny 2 PvP or Halo PvP had a baby with Overwatch and without any monetarization crap. No buyable skins, no battlepass. Just a very well produced game.
And there is plenty of lore to read, if you like. The game explains the map lore, the Character lore, plenty of background lore. If you want to, you really can dig that.
And: in my opinion there is Nothing woke here. Not more or less compared to overwatch. The only gender neutral Characters are Robots and a mushroom - which even makes sense.
The biggest problem the game has in my eyes is, that it is pretty hard to soll to the customers. There is no clearly visible USP compared to other hero shooters. And the great feeling is only something you could get, if you play it by yourself for some rounds.
The reviewers of the biggest game journals are activists...
Nobody is gunna do that other than those with literally nothing better to do in their life.
boy do i need to remind you that the FREE beta of this game had an average of 1500 peak people playing? no one cares about this game because every single streamer in existence shat on it and said its garbage.
No, I didn't buy Suicide Squad because I wasn't interested in it. But I also didn't go on the forums for it and ♥♥♥♥♥ about it.
So you're on a luxury cruise, but you're spending time arguing with a furry on the forum of a game you hate. And I'm the loser? Whatever helps you sleep at night buddy.
Public reception of the game does not support the idea of "very positive", even if there are people out there who enjoy it.
Of course, considering it's paid early entry at this point, it'd also be logical that only the biggest fans have bought the game and are leaving reviews. Especially at the insane price of $80 Canadian.
That's such a reddit thing to do lmao
Public reception doesn't matter when only people who bought the deluxe edition are the ones reviewing it. But even after release you probably aren't going to get an objective score because it's going to get review bombed to hell and back.
