Favorite car so far?

I came to AC fully expecting the 458 to steal the show, but that M3 GTR2 is absolutely a blast to drive!

Lotus Elise followed closely by the 500 Essesse. Can't wait for the Exige 240R, I've had real track time in one of those so be interesting to see how the AC ersion stacks up.

The X-Bow is still my favourite.. Great handling and FFB. The M3 GT2 is also fantastic.

All of them except the Lotus 49. The thing feels strange to say the least.

When I played the game at a friends house, the Lotus 49 is awesome, but then, I have a soft spot for 1960s and 70s F1 cars. The BMW GT2 was awesome, as was the KTM. My least favourite has to be the E30, I just don't like the way that it turns, then again, I was using a 360 Pad.

KTM Xbow R. Short wheelbase, good balance, powerful engine and a really excellent chassis. It feels borderline telepathic with a wheel, it just seems to go wherever you want, almost before you turn the wheel. It just feels so balanced and responsive-like any proper driver's car should.

The E90 M3 and GT2 would probably second favourites-there's just something about a really well-balanced well-engineered F/R coupe, especially in race-trim.

my favorite car is the lotus 49 currently. unfortunately i have no H-shifter. with paddle shifter and auto clutch its much easier to drive this beast.

My one complaint about the 49 is that they haven't simulated the Bias-Ply tyres completely- instead it seems to be shod in modern tyres which takes away a little bit of the fun. Back in the '60s they had a completely different driving style for this sort of car, and I do wish Kunos would better support that.

In real history the 49(and many GP cars of the era) spent quite a lot of their time going sideways. You had to hold the wheel quite straight and then use the throttle to slide the car through the corners to achieve maximum mide-corner speed. You *can* do that here but you're still largely quicker just driving it like a modern car. And I find that mildly disappointing. Maybe I'm missing a tyre option though.

I spend 75% of my time with the Lotus 49, just so much fun. Brings back memories of GPL. Next is probably the 458.
