Ah that's true good point!
And also I think that when they was in Nurburgring, they also took Nordschleife, but they will release it later :-)
//Oh... thats make a sense
As DLC... :(
You're forgetting that they'd also have to hire exclusive access of the track for however many days/weeks it'd take to scan. [using iRacing production stats - they also laser scan] It takes ten people roughly six months to scan, model and texture a 2.2 mile track track. Ignoring the fact that the entire Assetto Corsa team isn't much larger than ten people across the board, it would take THREE YEARS of non-stop work to make the track "officially" and costs would be through the roof (you'd be looking at $35-60~ DLC to cover the costs).
Nordschleife has not been scanned by the AC team and it won't ever be.
For example, few months ago Kunos laserscanned Spa francorchamps, and also Spa francorchamps classic route. Modern SPA is long 7 kilometers, Old route is long more than 14 kilometers. Thats 21 kilometers combined what is circa the same as Nordschleife.
And besides SPA tracks, in AC 1.0 version will be Nurburgring, Imola, Magione, Monza, Monza 1966, Monza 1966 longer variant, Three versions of Silverstone, Vallelunga and few test tracks.
Thats something like 72kilometers of laserscanning, so you think they make it 10 years?
I ask myself if they could not buy the scanned data from other studios?
