i've played LFS for 3 years and i really wanna know more about Assetto Corsa

Currently one cannot replace the other, therefore, LFS or both. Ask again when multiplayer arrives.

I bought ityesterday. Reguarding graphics, i'm happily surprised. It runs extremely smoothly in full HD with reduced shadows and reflections but stills looks a bit better than Forza orGT in my Opinion,i've never played LFS. In terms of physics, most people are positive that it handles better than Project Cars. It definitly handles better than anything on console. Now this is an early access, so if you don't mind ( for now and the few next months or so ) to have a small selection of cars and tracks. Go for it. The game for now is just about hot lapping, but it has leaderboards so you can have a bit of fun already. If you have the money, it's definitly worth the try. Because in some time, we'll have multiplayer, an actual career mode, a good bunch of other cars, mostly licensed ( there are currently BMWs, Ferraris, Mercedes, Lotus, KTM and a couple others including open wheels. ). And certainly mod support, maybe even through the steam workshop. Which would be awesome if the community makes good use of the SDK they will provide.

LFS will never die. Assetto Corsa requirments are bloody silly. More like some forza bullashiet requirment whise o_O. People will think about buying this game when most of the bugs will be fixed. You know, hit a kerb in AC and go bloody skyward!

I play AC on 5-6 years old PC and it is playable, requirments and optimisation are perfect. So there is only one problem, you have prehistoric PC (or better said, calculator), so it is time for you to upgrade (and for me too).

Before Assetto Corsa came out, I would have agreed with you, but no longer. We have a new king! :)

However, things may change if Scawen ever releases his tire update... but he's been working on it for longer than both NetKar Pro, Assetto Corsa and iRacing has existed, so I doubt it will ever see the light, and when it does, it will probably already be sadly outdated...

These guys have the help of real car manufacturers and get their data from laser scans of real tracks. I don't know LFS can compete with that. :(

Now, imagine if Assetto Corsa's multiplayer gets the same flexible server scripting support as LFS. Oh. My...

Can't really comment; as AC is not the finished product, but will anyway. :)
LFS I think is better in the physics/FFB area and also GSC 2013 likewise.
I find saving car sets, very over complicated in AC; compared to LFS and GSC, although that may just be me showing my age!.
Graphics is where AC excells over the other two mentioned sim's, obviously.
I think LFS, GSC and AC are the three best racing sim's out there at the moment; but old favourites like rFactor 1, Race07, GTR2 are still in my list of (now playing games) and I can't think I will get fed up of them and just play AC.
I am not a big fan of multiplayer, so my wish is that the ai's are as good as they are in GSC.

I have a laptop, with an i7, a GT640M and 8Go of RAM. It's 800$ in 17", 700 in 15", that's not cheap, but for a gaming rig, it's like just basics. You could have better for this money. Still, i can run this in 1080p at 60fps. I don't see how the requirements are ridiculous. if you want to play a latest generation game, don't come with a rubbish setup and then complain.

played LFS for a long time! The Physics is real good, i like it a lot, FFB is great.
Pick up AC, and you now, this guys nailed it, Physics is Amaizing!
Suspension working, Springs, Weight transfer nice.

In AC you can drift, you can attack corners and get right resopnse, just make sure the settings is right for wheel and ffb.
Bottom line AC>LFS physics slightly )) But i miss tyre deformation a lot! (

I come from LFS (Since 2008) to AC. LFS isnt improving at all. After i did Buy AC and played it, dont want to go back to old LFS. Sure, LFS has Multiplayer! But AC will get this soon Too! Then this game will Outshine LFS!

I do not regret that i Buyed this Game! Its a lot of Fun. Lets hope Multiplayer comes Soon!
