Logitech G29 is detected but does not steer, shift or drive in game (resolved)
Haven't been on Assetto Corsa recently due this issue I've had for months, recently just redownloaded with this issue still persisting. The G29 works perfectly fine on the Playstation 5 on games such as GT7 but when I connect it to Assetto Corsa (PC Version) the wheel is detected but does not steer nor even drive in-game. Assetto Corsa is the only game with this issue as I have no problem playing with the wheel on other games.

Methods I've tried to resolve this with:
- Reinstalling the Game
- Deleting Controls.ini
- Integrity Check
- Restarting PC
- Reinstalling Content Manager
- Calibrating the setup through Assetto Corsa's calibration system JOY (Wheel is detected but does not steer in game)
- Logitech GHUB Reinstall (Device is detected)

It'll be much appreciated if someone found a solution to this or troubleshoot. Been trying to play this game for months already due to this persisting issue. Thank you :steamsad:!

rename your Documents > "Assetto Corsa" folder to "Assetto Corsa old" and start game > options > controls > click on wheel/custom > choose the g29 profile and apply preset > back > drive > practice.

Using a G920, which I'd had working before with Assetto Corsa, but for some mod configuration was recently using a 360 controller instead. When I finally got around to switching it back to the wheel config in settings, I had to manually configure the controls for some reason.

If you're in Content Manager: Settings / Assetto Corsa / Controls / Axis tab -> I had to click the button under "steering" and then turn my wheel to register it, and do the same for the pedals etc. Before doing this, they all had some kind of Logitech G920 button assignments according to the menus, but in-game there was zero response. As soon as I manually configured them, it worked fine.

So maybe the same for you?

The gears and shifters are in the Buttons tab.

As Mayhem said, all you have to do is actually assign your controls.

Sometimes, people find that their wheel works fine in other games, shows up in Ghub or LGS, but they forget to actually assign their controls. Throttle, Brakes, steering, gear up, down, etc. Once you do that in CM you should be good. If you do and everything works, remember to save a control profile. It'll come in handy.

heh saw this thread thought hmm i wonder, but after reading, yeah if only my issue was that simple, to sort out, i'm using a g25 though so it's a whole different ballgame.. i did fix mine temporarily, by updating my bios, but as soon as there was a windows update bang the wheel failed to self calibrate again and trying the same trick again didn't work a second time.. i'll keep checking similar threads though in case someone finds a solution, frustrating because i "KNOW" my device works..

I use a G25, can I help in any way? I'm on Win 10/ latest. In windows Game Controllers settings do you see your G25? FWIW I'm using Logitech Profiler 5.10.127.

Probably redundant but try connecting the G25 to a different usb port.
