best series D1GP (japan) no one uses BMW's
Australian - Drift competition past 5 years not a single BMW in the standings or ever used.
American Drift (FormulaD) one guy used a BMW 1M in 2013, he placed something like 15th last year.
Show me one competition where a BMW or Ferrari are used to drift in successfully, ie win a series in drifting and I'll eat me hat.

Bon appetit
Wow, you're passionate about drifting, ain'tcha? :) So, which of the cars in the game win these competitions you speak of..? (that's a retorical question, btw) I'll take a wild quess and say that there's mostly some japanese cars on the top. Mazdas, Nissans etc..?
And btw, isn't the technique of maintaining a cars slide sideways called drifting, no matter how you do it?
I couldnt care less about compeition drifting and the main reason Japanese cars are used is because they invented the competition aspect and so have always made their cars with dirfting in mind. Heck I love Japanese cars and also have an r33 skyline so I am not opposed to them. I can drift the skyline pretty well have drifted commodores and tried drifting a few other cars you really shouldnt but its all fun doing it the harder way. You dont need a custom 700HP+ drift specific car to drift and I dont do any competition drifting much prefer proper racing.
Basically any RWD car can be drifted to a point and this shows the physics are at a pretty good level as many other "sims" fall apart pretty quick when you try to get it a little sideways.
Are you a pro or just some lost kid good at NFS and wathces D1 on tv?
I found a single video did I? lots of people drift everything I couldnt care less what they use in the drift comps themselves.

Oh and by the way have you ever heard of an old form of motor racing still going strong that always drfited, not for show but for an actual prupose. Its called Rally racing maybe have a look at that and you will see drifintg everything possible there.

Now find me one of those Drift cars you have in mind and see if they can actualy win a rally, sure 4 wheel drift is a little different but its still drifting. There are and have been plenty of RWD rally cars but sustained sideways dirft for speed is much quicker in a 4wd car.
The word drif in no way implies competition drifint in exotic over power specific drift cars its simply the art of controlled powersliding in any car.
there is a BMW in D1GP.
BMW's in Australia aren't cheap, why spend a lot more money on a BMW when you can get a silvia that has cheaper and more parts available.
American Drift (FormulaD) was won this year by a BMW.
not sure if troll or just stupid.
Lol seeing I dont follow drift I didnt know but youd think someone that posts this sort of BS would have known that a 2005 BMW M3 won formula drift 2013.

I want proof of the hat eating so you better film it and post it for us all to see.
It's no different from saying racing the road cars is not racing because they are not used in racing competition, racing is racing. BMW make great drifting cars, they may not be well used in competition but that does not change the fact that they are great drifting cars, they even make a car that will drift by itself, without a driver.
Edit : Above, so it turns out BMW are also succesful in drift competition. Not that it really matters but that definitely reinforces the point.
