How to record longer Replay's

Since we have 5 lap AI races the default 200MB replay limit was only recording 2-3 laps for me, so I went looking into the INI files to see what can be done.

I found the replay.ini file in C:\Users\Marty\Documents\Assetto Corsa\cfg obviously your user will not be Marty but it could be :)

Then Change it to this, simply type in how many minutes you want the max file and it will overwrite the size limit. I did a race at Silverstone and it recorded all 5 laps so it wrks fine and had no performance issues recording the longer file.

[REPLAY]
MAX_TIME_MINUTES=15 ; specify a maximum time OR
MAX_SIZE_MB=200

Not sure if this has been mentioned earlier sorry if it has but there it is for anyone that hasnt found it earlier.

any idea on the size of that file? SSDs have precious space, unless I could default the save location to a seperate drive, which is doubtful.

Not sure about changing default location but that could be something we could suggest to KS as it shouldn't be that hard to code. The file I recorded 5 laps of Silverstone was around 420MB. Im using pretty much max settings but dont think that wpuod have any effect on file size just time and number of cars I think.

Nice find thx. Maybe we can use symbolic link to create replay file on desired drive, same trick we used in F1 201x series.

mine wont record a size over 500mb even with editing cfg files, so longer races will not be fully recorded

The size limit in MB cant be set above the maximum which has been increased to 500MB since .5 it was only 200MB before. If you set the time though it will use that figure instead of the size.
