Skin creator and car body work
So I was thinking, instead of you creating stage packages you should creat performance upgrades for the cars. And being a stimulator (and simulator) it would be awesome and a definant sell for most if the upgrades were in great detail. This could range from small upgrades like a pod filter or brake pads to more extreme upgrades like fully built block and 4 piston race calipers and disks. all in seprate catergorys. This would go great with a skin customizer (decal and vynal creator) and exterior and interior modifers.
And this might sound pretty cool but whatabout a body creator. like a full body modifier that lets you expand the 3d beams of the car to make your own unique body kit. Some ideas that i had to share. if any one of the offical AC guy could give feedback on these ideas it would be much appreciated.

No, that shouldn't happen, now let me explain why.

1. The point of the stage packages are so that cars are on an equal field. The idea is of *racing*, proper racing, with proper groups, imagine if in the WTCC some people were allowed to just chuck a more powerful engine on their cars, that would be terrible. The fact that there is no GT/Forza style upgrades means that the races are decided by skill, not car.

2. You can already customize the visual appearance through skins, all you need is a template and Paint.NET and you can change the colour and design decals and vinals all you want.

3. No, you should not be able to use modified body-kits, because the cars are, once again, based on actual classes. These are real cars, the GT2 version of the BMW M3, for example, has that bodykit because it has that bodykit in real life, if you could modify that, you would have to re-create the physics for the downforce, among other things.

If you're looking for customization, I would refer you to Shift 2, if you mod the game, it *can* be an alright sim.

True but as there are GT cars there are also street cars. And yes the street packages should stay for the online or careera races, but im talking of a time attack senario. i love time attacks and so do many others. so from what i know WTAC races are hardly restricted on what you can do to cars, so the indepth upgrades could do a great deal. The 3D body modifiyer isn't to bad really. there should be a couple dials in each area of the car that you can add or decrese downforce from depending on how much you change the cars beams. i'll have to try out that template thing though. .Also Shift 2 is a stupidly over priced game. Can't be bothered haha. but thanks for the feedback.

It would just take too much time, and would take too much away from the more important things in the game, physics, etc. Plus, the idea of time-attack is to get a better time than other people, once again, skill, not car.

That said, I'm sure if you really wanted to, you could create a mod for the bodykits.
