On the controls configuration page, can you see the inputs from the throttle and brake moving when you press them? Maybe try mapping each action by hand.
I'm not that great at drifting myself, but you might find it a bit easier if you lower the gain on the force feedback settings. I found the default 100 was way too strong (very difficult to turn the wheel) something like 80 or even less might make throwing the car around and countersteering a bit easier.
have g27 again now but wa uising my spare dfgt
With the release of the RC my settings were wiped. I used the Config Wizard to reconfigure my DFP and felt that was nearly flawless. It got my wheel rotation at 903 degrees-- almost exact. The only issue was it jumped me into the H-pattern setup and I had to back up one step.
In my Logitech Profiler, I have globally remapped my +/- Shift Handle to just press their respective paddle buttons. That way, no matter what game I play with the wheel, both sequential shifters do the exact same thing.
Force Feedback is still a problem for me too I suppose...either I don't have a good sense of how to calibrate it or this wheel just has poor FFB resolution. In general I turn the in-game FFB dampening setting down to 60% or less. I used to have the effect strengths in the main menus all down near 20%, but I am trying them at full strength again for now.
And the D-Pad (for looking left/right). I've remapped that to keyboard keys using the Logitech Profiler, but I was having trouble getting profiles for acs.exe to load dynamically and keeping the D-Pad mapped to keyboard presses was a problem in other games.
Even using a 10-year old, mostly-supported wheel, I'm having a great time.
