My wheel is not centered
Please try recalibrating your wheel using Window's calibration panel:
Go to control panel/devices and printers;
Right click on the device's icon and select "game controller properties";
Press "properties" (you might need to hold CTRL+SHIFT when you click on "properties" to get all the options in the following window) go to "settings" and then "calibrate..." .
This can happen when the driver keeps calibration data cached.
For Logitech users, Logitech provides a "Clear Calibration Utility" available here:

G27 H-shifter is very slightly better, more solid. But it's such a small difference I don't know why people make a deal about it, since the G25 has the sequential, I prefer the G25 shifter for this reason.
G27 wheel is a lot quieter due to the helical cut gears, same kinda difference as between a road car gearbox and a straight cut racing car gearbox. The FFB does feel a little smoother, not necessarily better though, it's almost like the wheel feel has less friction that is instead created by the FFB. G27 has more buttons on the wheel (I love this personally, use them all) and the rev counter (again awesome, but it doesn't work in AC at the moment). Pedals are identical on both wheels.
If you own a G25 I'd definitely just stick with it and try your best to repair it (or replace the optical disk) rather than buy a G27 which is almost the same wheel. Where I live atleast a Fanatec isn't all that much more expensive than a G27 (depends on model of course), especially not if you just buy the wheel and keep the G25 pedals (which work with a lot of the Fanatec wheels). Thrustmaster T500's are really expensive here tho.
I'll stick to the G25 as long as i can. Love it. It's indeed a bit noisy on the gears.
Hate it when it is connected and you boot up your computer, wzzzz! BANG! wzzzzz! Bang!
Meaby ill order that metal optical encoder wheel some day, and would love a real Sparco karting wheel modification on it!
Ps, my pedal bars are flickering like crazy, need to find a method to fix this to...
