Well, CM definitely works with the G29's shifter and clutch. You just haven't set the controls in CM/settings/controls.
First I suggest you use either LGS or Ghub running in the background. make sure it recognizes your wheel and you have rotation set to 900, sensitivity at 50% and center spring at 0%,
Once you have either LGS or Ghub running and can see your wheel connected, open up CM and go to settings > AC > controls and assign all your controls one by one, gear up, down, gas, brake, etc. Confirm you see the wheel axis and buttons corresponding in CM when you press them. There's an indicator on the right.
Once controls are set up, save control profile in CM, then launch a race and check.
Additionally, disable any steam inputs for AC in steam settings, and consider using a different USB port for your G29.
-launch vanilla AC and create a control profile and save it, log out
-launch CM go to AC controls load up that profile and now the clutch and the shifter were recognized and able to be set
Are you assigning all your gears one by one in CM?
Do you see the input indicators on the right side of CM actively reflecting and responding to your control inputs?
Finally, but sometimes overlooked, are you sure you are telling CM that you want to use your H-shifter in control settings? There's a check box for H-shifter in CM control settings. Lastly, Tyre blankets on the drive tab. Click on the 3 dots and make sure Auto shifting, Auto clutch and Autoblip are all UNchecked.
If you're wheel and shifter works outside of CM, then you know it's simply a settings issue, not a hardware problem. Just got to have the right settings tuned in with CM then once you do it's smooth sailing. Just save your control profile once you get it all working.
