Driving H-shifter car with serial is OP.
Fix pls. Every wheel in existence has 6 buttons on it so H-shifting ppl shouldnt be put at a disadvantage.

Not having an H-shifter means you can just use pedals and auto clutch and thats easier to drive than clutch + H-shifter so in multiplayer youll get an advantage. Pretty straightforward I guess.

You want the buttons on the wheel to be made into individual gears?

I'm still struggling to understand.

No, just like assists off can be enforced server side, shifting option should be enforced, too....

No. It may be easier for someone who doesnt use a clutch and shifter but it doesnt give them an advantage over someone who can use it properly. Quite the opposite, you can gear from 5th to 3rd without going into 4th using the engine to brake even harder. Its a different style of driving.

I'm fairly sure there's already a built in delay for people who use paddles for manual transmission cars as a penalty.

As someone who has always driven sporty cars with manual gearboxes I think the current model is quite accurate, you really can change gear very quickly in a real manual car - I used to flat shift my old MINI, until the gearbox blew up.

Fair point m8. I prob should stop braking with left foot so I can actually downshift on braking.

I one update they give the paddle shifting a delay exactly for this problem. it says "The Autoshifting is now delayed so you are able to change gears faster with an H-Shifter" or something like that. haven´t tried this so far, i allways drive like the car is supposed to be shifted.

I "lmao" (are you 12?) at you not using your left foot.
It's a useful skill to have.

It means you can better manipulate weight distrubution; and it also completely eliminates the need to release throttle, move foot over, hit the brake, release brake, move foot over and hit the throttle again - which, alone, will cost you a tenth or two over a lap.

Thanks for backing me up here doc. And this is a good point for driving with paddle + autoclutch and its advantage over clutch + H.

Now. I really LMAO. Again.

What are you on about? Left-foot braking is a thing. A useful thing.

Excepet that driving an Clutch+H car with Autoclutch+Paddles is sacrilegious.
'You're only cheating yourself', and such.

And I think they've made it so it's a little slower anyway...
...never tested; never had to - but it's the case in iRacing.
You know, for exactly the reason you stated.

Besides, given the vastly different skill levels found in multiplayer, I don't think you're really going to deciding a race based on the transmission method alone.
At the absolute worst, it'll swing a 10 lap race by maybe 2~ seconds.
