mod tracks not working

Hi

i have just bought the game and i cant run mod tracks,in fact i have tried at least 10
However i can run mod cars...

I put the files in X:\Games\Steam\steamapps\common\assettocorsa\content\tracks and it appears in the game but it doesnt work.

What can i do?

how does it 'not work'?

you can choose it int he game but when you go to load, it crashes?

exactly...i can choose it in the game but it crashes when i try to load it

what tracks specifically? ive never had the problem..should be an entire folder within the tracks folder, not just the files.

yeah if you drag any of the folders with the tracks name into the tracks folder it should just work...are you sure its the tracks crashing it & not the car? maybe try an official car if youre not

i dont get it...only thing i can suggest is taking a video capture or pictures of your process in case yr doing something wrong. id also recommend posting it as a problem on the official forum

Solved!

i did like you told me but this wasnt the problem,the problem was that mod tracks don t work in time attack (but work properly in race and practice modes) and i didnt know it!

i had no idea of that flaw either, very glad you got it working. it makes sense when i think about it but wouldnt have guessed.

Thank you so much for figuring this out!

It was really difficult to get help for this, as people are usually replying: "Oh that should work, I never had that problem. Are you really sure you have extracted your track? :P"

What was even more frustrating was that I could play every track in Online Multiplayer (because the mode was selected for you), but NOT in single player (because I had defaulted to Time Trial) ?

I think it would be really helpful with some kind of error message from the game when stuff like this happens. It is so easy to fix once you know the problem.

People are also usually omitting key information when asking for help, such as that they are trying to play time attack. Time attack does not work in many mod tracks for a very specific reason: because it's completely fubar gamemode so modders don't waste their time setting it up.

Also this thread is 4 years old. Good thing it was helpful to you though
