What wheel are you using buddy?.....900 is good for Logitech G25/27 but before getting my G25 ......just kind of trial and error to make it feel as comfortable as I could
i will recommend the 900°. u can also have fun with the 270°, but 900 degree feels more realistic and accurate.

the best wheel to start with is the logitech driving force gt.
Is enough yes, not all cars in the game use 900. There are plenty of players here who don't have a wheel with 900. You'll only need to set 270º steering in wheel controls under steering axis, then in video-view, set 135º virtual steering for the wheel animation and your physical to sync.
doesn't AC adapt the rotation automatically for each car if you have it set to 900?
I use 540, tried 900 and 720 and im too lazy to spin the wheel in hairpins. 360 was too twitchy so i wouldnt even try 270, its a personal preference kinda thing.
And yes in controls and graphics you set degrees of physical and virtual wheel.
It's ok with Momo Racing Wheel (240 deg.). It feels unrealistic with road cars, but with sports cars it's just fine.
Used dfgt runs about the cost of a new game 900 degree wheel set it to 900 and forget it.

Best bang for your virtual driving buck period.

and yea open wheeler are not much more than 200 some degrees of steering some race cars are that limited but as you go up the 3 4 turn cars crammed into a 270 degree wheel well use your imagination.

Agree, Anything less than the DFGT is simply not worth it...
If you have the choice, absolutely go for a 900 wheel. I played with a 240 Momo for a long time and it's *doable* and still fun, but got a 900 G27 and it's just so much smoother, better, more accurate and all the things.
have 900° on a t500rs with the right fb settings, you can feel the street, if you break etc. the g27 is a good choice. you can get it for 180-200 euro. for the t500rs + t8 h-shifter i have payed 450 euro.
Having switched from a 270° wheel to a 900° wheel during AC's early days, I can only say that it made a tremendous difference in driivng, and feeling of driving. You have more fine control, and can handlew the wheel more in confomrity with the real thing.

G27 gives best bang for the buck.
Opps, I'm using a roughly 14 Year old MS FFB Wheel which only has 240°, and I'm around 5% off the quickest times on RSR.

It's more of a what you're comfortable with. There are a few really quick sim racers who use an xbox controller.

With 270° you'll be using smaller movement of the wheel, than the 900°+ wheels.
