Takes me out when i start a race [SOLVED]

Hi i purchase the game yesterday and i install it but when i whent to a quickrace and pres start engine he takes me back to the race settings menu. I redwonload it again but the same happens what can i do?

There's a chance that some of the files get blocked/quarantined while downloading/installing.

Maybe do a steam cache check after disabling the fw/av?

disabling firewall or antivirus wont work, because if is blocked, it remains blocked. so you need to ALLOW in your antivirus exceptions, is somewhere in settings-firewall, of your antivirus. and is called acs.exe (assetto corsa program). you need to have the game installed to allow acs.exe to run through your antivirus.

there have been many people in the forum saying that they solved it by ALLOWING acs,exe in their antivirus, sometimes the antivirus will quarantine the exe file, so you need to restore and allow, not auto or block.

but i dont see any acs.exe in any of my folder or in my firewall menu so i cant know if its blocked or not

My antivirus is the one that microsoft puts microsoft firewall

check the boxes for acs.exe, if is not on the list, then click on allow another program and navigate to C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\assettocorsa and select 'acs'.

I dont see any acs.exe i only see acsserverlauncher , acshowroom, assetto corsa and steam statistics reader exe's but no acs.exe

Then it sounds like your virus checker either deleted or quarantied it- which might be why when you try to launch a game, it quits back to menu as the menu is a seperate executable from the game.

run an integrity verification through steam, then see if your antivirus picks it up, then restore it and add it to exception rule, and allow it. or just check in your antivirus for quarantined files and restore it.
