Warning CPU Occupancy 99%?

I was playing single player and this popped up at the top of the screen. Never have this problem in multiplayer.

Does anyone know what it means and how to fix it?

I got the same error of 99% CPU occupancy. When I unplug my racing wheel it disappears. Can't get my MS FFW to work with this game!

the MAX_FF_RATE_HZ helped me to get rid off the >99%.....thx for that.
Funny things happen when new patches come around. One should be worried always when they anounce a new patch ;)

running an fx4100 and not seen that before... i didnt extensively experiment with AI numbers though *shrug*

edit: oh so wheels could cause it? sounds odd :P

Thats because you posted in a thread from 2015 and Assetto Corsa has been updated several times since then and some things have changed.

The MAX_FF_RATE_HZ= no longer applies.

Games will make your CPU run at high utilization, this is normal. You can combat this by putting in framerate caps or using vsync option.
