Other possible point of failure: when the logitech profiler is installed and running, individual game-profiles do overwrite global settings. You sure that there is no profile set for acs.exe?
Which is the third point of failure: assetto-corsa.exe is the menu-system / launcher. The true simulation part is "acs.exe" - which needs it's own profile should you chose to use the profiler
You can also chose to disable/ shut-down the profiler-background process completely: then the global driver-settings stay persistent no matter what game you are running.
The 4th point of failure would be running the wheel without any driver/profiler software downloadable from logitech.com (make sure you have the most up-to-date version of that profiler running)
disclaimer: I use an old G25 myself, so no first-hand XP with the DFGT.
Especially if the computer awakes from sleep when the wheel is still plugged in. Somehow the wheel reverts to 270 degrees.
I just alt-tab and go into the profiler, slide the rotation back and forth (i.e change it from 900 and then back) and then hit OK. Or you can access these settings by going to 'devices and printers', right clicking 'Driving force GT' and choosing 'game controller settings'
Bear in mind though that the game will reduce the steering lock from 900 degrees as appropriate for each car, although it doesn't actually lock the wheel.
Something is wrong with this game.
Other than that: is the power plugged in? Did you change usb-ports perhaps? Some usb-hubs can cause eradic behaviour as well as Windows does not like for the user to use ever-different ports for one piece of hardware. Wants to "reinstall" stuff every time you change a friggin' port.
The car feels better, the steering works properly, and the force feedback is just right.
Asseto Corsa, the car understeears like a pig, the steering can't be calibrated properly, and the force feedback feels like gonna destroy my wheel anytime. What kinda CRAP is this SH1T!
♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥!
Hint: google for "force feedback clipping" and then pay attention to the pedals-app in-game: the bar on the right should not turn red too often, which indicates 100% saturation for ffb-force.
Now, just give the game a little more time, find your prefered ffb-settings and ENJOY!
Really, the UI, as pretty as it appears at first, can be a little flimsy and confusing, at times. Make sure not to give up to soon. It's Italian. It NEEDS YOU to make it work. Once you find your own sweet-spot you will be in for a treat!
I only ask because what you're required to do is set the wheel to it's maximum, in your case 900 but then the game automatically adjusts the steering lock depending on the car.
So cars have 900, some have I think 760 and I think the lotus formula car has I think 270.
The game does adjust the lock maybe that's what you're experiencing?
I think this is a little bug, it's minor but for those who can't figure it out it can ruin the game.
Maybe I don't have the latest device driver or the Logitech profiler software.
I am really enjoying this game.
