Too bright after update
Every track is now located on the surface of the sun. Graphics are way blown out, too bright. Any ideas?

while it can be worked with. it still sucks & is clearly broken, where it was not before. i realize it was the patch that broke the game, but i kind of with the previous user in feeling a bit chapped and regretting purchasing the DLC.
you regret buying the dream pack because the game may be more bright now than previous version? the dlc has no influence over that, I am very satisfied with the extra content I purchased.

For the brightness thing, dynamic pp filter can be more bright than previously, but you can use page up/page down to control in game brightness, or you can pick default or other pp filter, others doesn't seem that bright as dynamic. Playing with light clouds or clear sky looks nice and not too bright. So, just use other filter not dynamic, and also the page up/down from the keyboard.

Just tweak the default filter to make it less bright/♥♥♥♥♥ (after first making a backup).
These are the changes I made:

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

[AUTO_EXPOSURE]
ENABLED=0

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

[TONEMAPPING]
HDR=1 ; don't touch this
; SetTonemapParameters()
EXPOSURE=0.9 ; this doesn't work if you have set auto exposure
GAMMA=0.9

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

[CHROMATIC_ABERRATION]
ENABLED=0

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

[COLOR]
HUE=0
SATURATION=0.95
BRIGHTNESS=0.95
CONTRAST=0.95

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Paste these changes over the top of the respective lines of default.ini in the steam directory.
assettocorsa > system > cfg > ppfilters

Chromatic Aberration has nothing to do with the brightness issues; but, in my opinion, it looks terrible (it's the weird "3D glasses" colour effect).

I generally like all my games pretty dark, but from here you should be able to dial it in to suit your tastes.

No more needing to Page Up and Down at the start of every session.

ill try messing with the setting posted. thanks for the help.

im still disappointed in the DLC though. even with the brightness issues fixed, the glass still looks horrible on the DLC cars.

some pics for refrence........

the ONLY diffrence in these two pics, is i stuck my head outside the glass.

For those of you having problems with the contrast

Go to Steam\SteamApps\common\assettocorsa\system\cfg\ppfilters
Edit "default.ini"

Then eddit the lines on "[AUTO_EXPOSURE]" to these values

[AUTO_EXPOSURE]
ENABLED=1
DELAY=0
MIN=0 MAX=2
TARGET=1.5
INFLUENCED_BY_GLARE=0

In 2022 everyone is using CM/CSP, if it is so, set in settings>custom shader patch>weatherFX>ControllerScript to SOL, not SOL2.2, or "DefaultController" and it should be ok.
