- check your tv for the screen format settings (4:3, 16:9, etc) and search for anything like "let the program decide" or don't use any scalling
- check if your tv have any "PC" setting and turn it on
- finally, check your pc for the screen scale settings
cheers
HDTV settings
Either on the remote control or from the picture section of the user menu, look for a setting called “Picture”, “P. Mode”, “Aspect”, or “Format”.
Set it to “1:1”, “Just Scan”, “Full Pixel”, “Unscaled”, or “Screen Fit”.
if that doesn't work or you don't have those control options...
From the picture section of the user menu, look for a setting called “HD Size” or “Display Area”.
The setting may be within a sub-menu or Advanced menu.
Change the setting options to see which gives the best results.
After changing the setting, you may need to adjust the settings made in the previous section.
I'm using a Samsung 55" at the moment. Fixed my scaling problems by selecting "Screen Fit".
Under scaling options in your video cards control panel, try these options also :-
Set your HDTV to perform the scaling
Set scaling method to "aspect ratio".
When everything looks as it should, go into Windows control panel > Display > display
Select "calabirate colour". Complete the wizard.
Select "Adjust ClearType Text". Complete the wizard.
Good luck!
Im using a magnavox 1080i tv with a resolution of 1768x992.connected to my computer by HDMI.
In my HDTV the only resaolution options I have are:
automatic or wide screen.
I chose automatic
In Nvidia:
Under adjust desktop size and position, i selected aspect ratio.
In Assetto corsa:
I have tried every resolution and I either have image out of site or black bars.
The "parts of the screen just out of view" problem is usually overscanning done by the TV (this problem would affect everything done on your computer, not just Assetto Corsa. If this problem is AC only, you can probably ignore everything I'm saying). This is done to account for TV signals that would be skewed on the edge of the screen if overscanning was not on. That's what all the aforementioned options would do: turn overscan off.
Since your TV only has automatic and wide screen settings, you may have to dig deep into the advanced settings in the picture settings. Once I found how to turn overscan off, I was able to keep all Nvidia and Assetto Corsa resolution settings normal and it worked.
That's the most weird resolution ever ._.
Anyway, have you tried adding that resolution to custom resolutions in the Nvidia panel? (google how, is very simple) That way once added it will appear in the settings of Assetto Corsa, matching the TV res, with no scaling neccesary.
