Where are the season mods?
I bought this after deciding to start sim driving again.............. Rfactor 2 was the first choice but the mod community there seems pretty dormant. Where are the mods for this? I see a LOT of chatter about things but have yet to see anything remotely close to what was available from the mod community for Rf1. Where's everybody hiding.

I'm only looking for F1 season mods, pre-split Indycar, post split CART and Champcar and Group B rally. Any help is appreciated.

Hahaha!

The game hasn't been out that long, mods take time to develop. You don't just *wish* them into creation.

Anyway. There are no Indycar, CART or Champcar mods around. If they are, they're still in development. Actually, I believe CartFactor is being worked on.

As for F1, we also don't really have anything, there is the Formula Fantasy 2014 mod made, which is a single-make series based in the 2014 specs.

Group B rally cars are sort-of being worked on within two mods, RallyWorld and another you should be able to find on the official forums somewhere.

Technically the only complete seasons we have is the Seat Leon Cup 2014 mod (if you can find all the tracks, that is), and the GP2 2014 mod (again, if you can find all the tracks).

Almost everything you mention is in rfactor 2 except group b I think, you wont find much "seasons" with AC as it lacks in the race department more for pure driving, but yeah tons of mods for both considering how long been out infact pretty sure RF2 is still BETA.
Oh c'mon, this things been being beta'd for about two years! The core game has been out there.

I haven't even found a site with WIP's. Is there a clearinghouse site like RfactorCentral for AC? As it is this kinda sucks as is for open wheelers unless I'm missing something.

Well, the official forums is where 99.99% of the legit stuff is.

The game hasn't been out (including the Early Access) too long, just over a year (game entered Early Access in November 2013).

Yelling about it won't make content magically appear.

There just isn't that much stuff yet. You look at rFactor, that's been out for almost 10 years now, and has almost all the content you could want, rFactor 2 just doesn't have the community, yeah you've got a few decent mods, but unfortuantely people aren't drawn to it in the same way that rF1 drew people in.

It's just the way it is.

Have you seent the 92 full f1 grid for RF2, that alone makes owning RF2 worth it, also all the diff grades of open wheelers ISI actually do, there's a 2013 f1 season out there, ive got historic touring cars, from germany to ozzy, and yeah indy car in RF2 is prob best you gonna get, although have to admit can be hard to find at times, I found a good way to browse mods in RF2 is browse the servers, look what they are running, if like try to join will dl the mods.

I guess 'season' is kind of a misnomer.......... the mods I knew were really just individually modelled cars and track packs, either scratch made or used with permission.

Are there really only like 3 finished open wheel cars? Where's the Senna Lotus and Lauda Ferrari so prominent in the promo video?............ The video which went a long way toward swaying me to buy BTW. Are they vaporware?

Erm, they're already in the game, man...

Along with the Lotus 49.

oh man I can drive that lotus 98t alone on a track all day long, you just need to DL sennas livery i think.
SeriousSpy 28/fev./2015 às 16:03
If you want the exact sponsors, yeah. The game already has the JPS livery though.
Already bought this.......didn't buy Rf2 because IIRC Rf1 was a bit of a pain to optimize hardware. Lots of file modifying ........ Gotta say the promo video for AC with the non existant cars got me. Now I'm pretty sure I'm stuck with it. It's fun(ish) but pounding around Monza in a Lotus 49 forever seems unsatisfying. AC seems a really thin game for $50.

Which 'non-existant' cars are you referring to exactly?

But... there are no non-existant cars...

Have you made sure you've selected "all" in the manufacturer screen?
The JPS Lotus and the Lauda painted 312? The cars are there but the paint is alllllll wronnng.
