Using smartphone as mouse/keyboard
So, unfortunately one cant navigate the menus using the buttons on the G27, and when I am using my TV as monitor, I dont sit at the computer, which forces me to stand up, everytime I have to use the menu, which is rather anoying.

I have an android smartphone. Is there any way I can use that as keyboard and mouse ingame?
I have tried unified remote, but that doesnt work when in a fullscreen program for some reason.

Download and use Xpadder and map the mouse movements and buttons to the hat switch/D pad of your wheel.

Yes best choice really, in case the unified remote or similar smartphone app doesn't work. You can use well the gamepad as a mouse and other keyboard buttons or combos. There's also the virtual keyboard from Windows if you can't reach a physical keyboard.

Another option would be wireless kb/m. (hello, Cptn. Obvious here:)

What I do for my wheel, works great. Just sucks having to use a third party app for it.

Since NKP, they've had issues with dpads. :(

I'm 99.9% certain that right there is a pirate program trying to look legit. Xpadder is well worth the measly amount it cost to buy.

Get an extension lead for your keyboard until another solution can be found. Beats standing up and wasting all that energy every time. You must be knackered at the end of the day.

Download Remote Mouse to your android or IOS device, connect PC and phone to the same wifi network, and control your computer flawlessly with a touchpad / keyboard on the device. Works best with iPad for me. worth the $3

It is, and this is why I say it's "trying to look legit". Xpadder is the creation of Jonathan Firth and ceased to be freeware at version 5.3 I believe. I just find it odd is all as there is little to differentiate that version from the official release from what I can see.

It may well be a legal branch of the old freeware version but it does not set itself apart in any way from the current official release to make it clear that is what it is. It is very misleading in this respect, at least in my opinion and this is what makes me doubt it.

I downloaded a copy of the freeware version here: http://www.majorgeeks.com/files/details/xpadder_%28last_freeware_version%29.html

It's the first link from a google search.

I don't think that version works well on Win 8.1.

It does if you enable win xp service pack 3 compatibility.
