in iracing you lways feel that the car is on ice ... accelerate too much in an end turn and you go in incontolable drift ...
in the first impression i prefer AC .... however iracing have such a online classement ... punishement for bad drivers ... licence to pass etc ...
iRacing physics are good and the FFB was improved in the last build with their new tyre model.
AC is currently my favorite, so far, and I think it has a lot of potential to beat even PCars, and it's already ahead of other titles like rFactor 2, GSCE, R3E, etc.
It's a game that you can't go wrong with. The physics are good, graphics, FFB is awesome, MODS...
Of course there's a lot of cons and lacks a lot of features for now, due to the fact it's still in Early Access. AI is dumb as a rock rolling down a hill, no pit stops, night time, dynamic weather, etc.
I think Game Stock Car Extreme might be my second favorite =) You can download and try a Lite version of the game.
IceRacing - great for competitive racing against other serious sim racers.
The reality is that they really are two totally different products. I still go to IceRacing for serious racing - it is unmatched for this. AC is a good time for casual racing and testing all the different mods. I still think IceRacing has the better tire model as in AC you can drive WAY over the limit and still save the car. Obviously IceRacing is the polar opposite of this, but I think it's closer to real life.

Huttu said the car was easier to handle IRL than in iRacing :P.
The point is, ease of handling should in no way indicate that AC is "borderline simcade" unless you have raced a particular car on the limit (maybe you have, I don't know). I would love to hear from someone with this kind of experience.
Bad simulations using the on Ice effect to create a sim feeling :p you can get a lot of it in pcars too hehe
ac is great for fun also project cars and game stock car 2013
however i really love so much the FFB feeling with my g25 in AC !! it is so much better than all the other game i test !!
you really feel the car slide and so you can try control the slide !
every little bug on the road you feel it !
I actually slightly prefer AC, the cars feel a little heavier and seems to have more realistic low speed handling. Iracing feels great when right on the limit but low speed and probably at rookie speeds it does feel like driving on ice, its easier to crash going slow than flat out. It is like the tyre models work well at race speed only, which is fine if you can push the cars.
The tracks have more feel in iRacing, you can really feel detail in the track surface and bumps, surfaces changes are more realistic and where they should be ( been aroudn SIlverstone in real life and in iRacing , old gp circuit , and the bumps etc are where they should be. AC I find doesnt quite have the same level of surface detail, but it is still early days in its physics and modelling.
Iracing has by far the best competetive model but is expensive. But for that you tend to race against fewer idiots and less skiful drivers as the licence system matches skill pretty well in most cases. But downside you can come across soem drivers with heads to big for their helmets ;)
AC however is cheaper, has some exciting models and tracks and has mods to offer good expansion. The racing is great with friends and equal minded racers, but outside of that there are to many less sporting players so most decent racing tends to be on passworded servers.
For me at present I prefer AC as a more casual racer, if I want slightly more serious competetive stuff then iRacing can't be beat at present. But in comparrison AC is still the infant so I expect a lot more to come.
I think you don't know very much iRacing.
That video was uploaded the 10/22/2010. 2010 man!!!
At that time there was the OTM(old tire model) lol. In the mean time were released the NTM(new tire model) and 11 new builds. Now the skip and the Mazda are a lot more stable, and a lot more easier to handle. So... Please... If you haven't tried iR stop to quote that sentence because it's 4 years outdated.
This is the best pro of iR, the continue and never ending evolving of the sim. Physics, tire model, graphics, everything is getting updated trough the years.
