Please, help me to find out: how I can return a standart grip from usual launcher? I make a cars statistics with times on different tracks for a long time, but after starting using the CM, I noticed, that the grip become much much better, than was without CM. I always drove in OPTIMAL mode. But in CM this mod is VERY GRIPPy. How I can return old setting, but without deleting the CM? I set "fast", but it`s still more grippy, than was before using CM

"dusty" "green" options are there in the drive menu.

cm modifies vanilla, so seek a backup or start fresh.
are you certain about the cause of your "VERY GRIPPy" experience?

which cm feature is this? id like to find more info about it.

Optimal is 100% (max) grip and afair that was the default, CM cant set it any higher.

Deleting CM should not change a thing since both launchers change same variables. You can even run both launchers at the same time.

So its a placebo or different weather or car/track version or tyres etc.

Only thing that could affect something between the launchers is maybe "extended physics" in CM which for cars that are using it would improve handling somewhat.

thanks for answer. I don't remember, what exactly made the surface so grippy, but I think it was settings in up right corner in CM whem you make a weather, time. something like GRIP GAIN. That was a setting, that broke the vanilla game grip. at least i`ve made a sort of old grip level. I've deleted grip gain, set it for 0, and everything went more better.

that was a placebo for sure, I checked it. but CM certainly make some difference. 25 degrees for example is not 25 degrees air temperature in vanilla game. Any car is more slower on a straight in this case, and I don`t know why. It`s very important for me. So anyway I`ve deleted CM and CSP. For many reasons, not only becuse of that situation with wrong grip and temperature issue. Thank u for answer.

it might be enough to delete all the config files from documents\asseto corsa\ and dont use cm.

what is it that you make, sounds interesting?

Its possible in CM to select both air and track temps (click the 3 dots), AC by default just has fixed offset afair.

As for why, two factors: Air density increases with lower air temperature, this means more oxygen gets into the engine, so it gives more power but that also increases aerodynamic drag. In almost all cases the effect of increasing power will overpower the increased air resistance giving more speed..

Track temperature on the other hand can affect tyre grip as tyres cool mostly through the contact patch to the ground, so increased temperatures can lead to faster top speeds if there is high speed corner just before it. Thats for harder tyres, when you can pick really soft tyre compounds the inverse is true. Which is why most records of F1 or GT2/3 are done at as low temperature as possible.

ps: air and track temps differ depending on weather, im not sure if but CM might mess with the temp settings based on weather picked.
