1.1 steering ratio help.
I noticed that when driving some cars that the steering ratio doesn't match up in game with the g27 wheel. Is there anything that I could do about it?

Hi, the 458 italia isn't matching up but I am sure that it did before. Don't know what I could have done to be honest.

Ok, I will have a good look again and try to reset everything. I can see the in game wheel being off at even half turn. At full lock it's way off but the logitech profiler is on 900 degrees.

Thanks for the help anyway.

This has been suggested many times by different people, myself included; just turn the stupid wheel and arms off. If you have the correct FOV and seat settings your own wheel will more or less sit in the same place as where the in game wheel would display. Real cars do not have two steering wheels
You can then set the car up to handle as you like it, without bothering about what the in game wheel is doing.
I've got a T500rs wheel and it has 1080 degrees of rotation, but in track racing you don't need that ever. Same applies to the 900 degrees that Kunos recommend; I tried it and hate it.
For all of my track racing sim's I use 570 degrees, I use this setting in the wheel software after I realized that I can jump from sim to sim and it remains a rock solid setting.
Each to his own of course.

Each to his own, yes, but you distort the wheel angle in game, if you do not callibrate the hardware once with the rotation value setting your hardware is featuring. That means you have not the original steering angle available to your hands that the car originally would feature and provide you with. A synchronized "translation" of the AC-wanted way the input by th wheel feels and handles, you only have with a properly callibrated wheel - and that means you must enter 1080°, in your case.. Let the sim take care of the rest. If oyu eneter a lower value, then you artifically cut the steeringangles in an unrealistric fashion.

Just saying, since you sound so concerned about loosing realism when seeing a virtual wheel on the screen. That one nevertheless sets the standard to which your hardware hands should move synchronous, if you want the realistic rotation.

Three step process for having matching virtual and real wheel rotation: (very important for both car handling and Rifting)

Step one: Go to game, Pick a car and get in it on track, Visually calculate THAT cars wheel rotation max deg., (I.E. Spin wheel back and forth and count) Remember that number, Close game.

Step 2: Go to Windows Game Controllers Profiler and set wheel rotation to match (Step One).

Step 3: Re-Launch Game, Go to "Options-Controls-Advanced" Set Wheel rotation to match (Step One). (Save a profile under that cars name so you can switch out more quickly)

I have 570 in the wheel software and 570 in the wheel calibration in the game, so the wheels are synchronized ok, with the wheel turned on in game it turns the same as my wheel.
Like I say; it works ok for me.
I always have the wheel off in any sim I play ( just like it that way ) it does not concern me as such.

I managed to get it sorted somehow. What I did was delete all saved settings and restarted the game. Unplugged the wheel and started the profiler first. Choose my wheel in the settings and tested some cars on the track. Much better now.

I still don't know what may have happened but thanks to you all.
