Horrible Low Quality Scenery
So i've been playing Assetto Corsa all day and am totally loving it so far. I run the game in DX10 mode with 2 GTX 285s in SLI, and i have everything maxed out except for the reflections (i also have FSAA disabled). Not long ago, i was playing around with the graphics settings when i suddenly noticed this absolutly horrible low-quality dithering effect on the baground objects and scenery. I quit to the menu and checked my graphics settings, only to confirm that everything except reflections was maxed out. I have no idea why this suddenly happend or what could be causing it. Has it always been like this and i'm just noticing it now? Any ideas?

I know. I'm working on getting one now.

Also consider that dx10 isn't officially supported so that could bork something as well.

just uploaded a screenshot. Not sure why there is no preview for it showing.

I just want to point out that the screenshot is small because i cropped down the image. This is exactly how distant scenery appears for me in-game.

Just uploaded another screenshot. If you view it in full screen, you can see what i'm talking about.

Probably the problem.

But it wasn't doing this earlier. It just recently started looking like this. Are you saying that at some point during the last 3 hours, the game suddenly decided that it no longer likes DX10?

Ive never seen that maybe something changed in your setup, possibly a new driver. Best to post at the official forum where devs can actually help if you also post your log files. Still they say dx10 is unsupported so who knows if they can or will do anything for an unsupported setup.

I'm currently trying a re-install. The last thing i did before this issue started was try to enable the motion blur. This is apparently not supported by DX10, as the game crashed immediatly. This issue started happening after i disabled the moion blur again. I'm thinking that a fresh install might help somehow.

Also try and delete C:\Users\YOUR USERNAME\Documents\Assetto Corsa\

Instead of re-installing the game; it should recreate it self when you run the game again.

I did that too, in addition to reinstalling.

Then perhaps its somethig to do with a change made with your video card drivers / settings.

Make sure you have your Nvidia game settings set to allow your games or applications to control your cards settings. (Default them if you have that option!)

Alternatively completely uninstall your drivers, use something like ccleaner to clean your registry then reboot and re-install them.

You could also try rolling back to a earlier version of your drivers...
