Wheel turns left on its own when track menu has loaded
I have a wheel related issue show up recently.

When I start a race/practice/time attack etc the game loads from the menu to the track and car selected. Then whilst on the setup screen (where you can select to start, change setup etc) my wheel turns left to full lock by itself.

If I am holding the wheel at the time it realises/detects I am resisting and it removes 95% of the force, but still slightly turns left. If I am not holding the wheel it turns left with full force to full lock.

As soon as I click to start practise/race etc the wheel stops turning left and behaves normally. I usually at this point though have to manually turn the wheel back to the natural position to begin with my wheels facing straight forward.

I use a Thrustmaster T500RS. Anyone else noticed/experienced this bizarre issue?

Sorry I actually posted this under an existing thread but thought after it posting that may need it's own thread with a suitable title to reflect the issue.

http://www.assettocorsa.net/forum/index.php?threads/thrustmaster-wheels-official-thread.3296/

check your settings vs the official support thread.

also recommend maybe your try deleting/backing up your controller config and having the gme redo it restup your wheel etc.see if it does the same thing.

also make sure the cables are all 100% plugged in i have had controllers where the power cord will come loose say but the usb is still in so the power button is on thing is showing up but when you try to do something with it nada.

also can help to maybe swap the usb plug the wheel is in maybe if your having issues in one plug.

Many thanks for the replies. My wheel settings are default and non modified but I have performed all steps advised anyway with no change to the issue.

I tried a launching a few different things in testing and the issue seems to be mainly on Special Events>Demon on Wheels.

If I setup a practise session of the Lotus 49 @ Monza 1966 I do not have the issue. If I then setup a Challenge>Special Event>Demon on Wheels my issue returns.

Can anyone else try launching the Demon On Wheels Special event and see if their wheel turns left in the initial on track menu?

I am running a custom realism as follows:

Auto throttle blip enabled
Auto Clutch Enabled
0% Stability Control
100% Mechanical Damage
1x Tyre Wear
1x Fuel Consumption

Auto Brake disabled
Automatic Gearbox disabled
Ideal Racing Line disabled
ABS disabled (main menu and ctrl+a)
Traction Control disabled (main menu and ctrl+t)
Visual Damage Disabled (never noticed this and might enable it later!)

On the following hardware

Thrustmaster T500 RS (TH8 Shifter not in use atm until I build something to mount it to)
Steelseries 6GV2 Cherry MX Black keyboard
Razer Taipan and Naga 2012

i7 4770k + Corsair H100i Liquid Cooler
16gb (2x8gb) G.Skill Trident X 1600Mhz CL7
Gigabyte Z87X-UD3H Mobo
EVGA GTX 780 SC ACX 3gb Grfx card
Samsung Evo 500gb SSD
860W Seasonic SS-860XP2 Platinum PSU

24" Benq XL2411T 144Hz TN Panel monitor

Windows 7 Pro 64

Many thanks.
