does anyone own this wheel and if yes, whats the height of the clamps which dock to your table? and is it stable enough with the basic clamps or do you need an extra part for it?

thanks for the reply buddy, but money isnt the problem, the problem is whether Ill be able to mount it on my table, because 5cm right underneath the table where im going to mount it is an open shelf which can be pulled out for small stuff and i dont want to get rid of it. So id like to know whats the dimension of the clamps on the bottom of the wheel ...

and i also like to know whether the basic clamps provide enough stability for the wheel

I cannot offer details for the Fanatec GT3 as I didn't end up buying one as I read that the central weight of the wheel can give a "muddy" feel to the FFB. I might have got from from an Inside Sim Racing youtube video review actually?!

I had planned on the GT3 wheel and CSR Elite pedals combo deal and planned to get the CSR shifter set too.

I instead went for a Thrustmaster T500 RS and a TH8 Shifter.

My desk at home has a very small gap where I can fit the desk mount (not at home at the mo but I would guess between 4-6 cm.) and the mount bracket for the Thrustmaster T500 RS fits and clamps to my desk perfectly.

If you find the Fanatec wheel to not have the correct size bracket you need it may be worth checking if a T500 RS will fit instead.

Just found this video of the GT3 wheel bracket:

This image of the T500Rs shows the clamp underneath

I have the exact wheel you want. The clamp wasnt very good for my desk as it has a curved edge, the clamp wouldnt seem to hold.
So I drilled 4 holes on my desk using the provided template(you can also download the template), i use 4 M6 butterfly screws to attach the wheel to my desk in seconds. Works great!

btw wow, the video you posted, thats exatly what my shelf under the table looks like, the prob is, that the gap is like 5cm :/ hope it fits

Yup, the clamp sux!
Take it off and use the screw mounts.
Mount the wheel to a piece of wood like Big_D4ddy mentioned, then clamp that to your desk using some quick release clamps or something. That way you don't have to damage your nice desk, and it's still fairly adjustable.

Worked fine for me, until I made something much better!

If you dont want to drill hole's in your desk you could buy this: http://eu.fanatec.com/ClubSport%20Table%20Clamp%20V2%20EU

i bought the table clamp too it costs 50 euro extra but the clamp size is 7cm thats what my table is and it looks very solid piece of metal with 2 Screws i bet M8 screws but idk what size screws i ordered yesterday the table clamp, porsche GT3, csr pedals and shifter..

or you could go for a wheelstand pro but that cost 120 euro

I have GT2 RS (pretty much same than GT3 but with xbox compitabily) wheel and it's very good, but sometimes hard to get just right settings because you so much settings stright in the wheel. But in this game it's pretty easy.

I have driven AC also with G27 and it's also good, but gt2 is still somehow better and much stronger.

With table clamps i cant help because i use wheelstand pro wich is okay but littlebit too expensive.
