This looks like one of those to e added later features but who knows. I hope someone can come along to clarify soon.

The Lotus Exos is ***NOT*** a Formula One car. It looks like one, it sounds like one, and it S1 form it's even got an F1 engine, but it's not actually an F1 car. As a result, it doesn't have a KERS hybrid system, or functioning DRS.

No one is under that illusion but the question is raised as Kunos have included a DRS tooltip on the display hud for this car. Please sir calm thou titties. :)

I am calm. Glacially. All I'm saying, is that I was just leafing through the official specs for the Exos and I can't find any mention of a DRS system being fitted.

See for yourself.

I don't doubt at all. The car probably doesnt need DRS or KERS because unlike an F1 car it isnt bound but legislation and restrictions. Jean Alesi is quoted as saying its faster than any car from the 90s at least. Best speed I reached without tinkering with set ups is 192 MPH on the Monza 66 track.

Possibly the S1 may have a DRS upgrade as it is in the electronics but its not yet implemented.

I just curious that DRS is in the electronics, but not have a single button to activate it.
Hope that might see in the future, even only in S1 upgrade

The car IRL doesn't have DRS but if you go to electronics it shows an option for DRS. In game there's an S1 version of the T125 but no such thing IRL. Maybe they'll implement it in the future along with a 7th gear (hopefully)

Hey anyone know if this is actually true, that Lotus only made 25 T125's? Only costing 1.5 million.... :P

everytime I take the T125 arround in Assetto, i think of Jeremy Clarkson crammed into the car lol, would nice to see the DRS on the S1 verison but its not necessary

If you wanted to buy one in Australia youd likely pay well over 2 miillion as the gov needs a good chunk of money so they can also buy one for themselves. :)

620,000 great british coins for the "hire" of this great great vehicle for the day. :)

IMO it's worth it if you like F1 as it is today, and or want the ultimate trackday weapon. Your only other option is to buy an older F1 car. Modern F1 cars are also for sale, but would be far more expensive and require you to hire an extensive engineering staff.

Older F1 cars aren't quite as quick, but they're cheaper and you could easily do most of the maintanence yourself. A mid-late 1970s car will set you back roughly 400-600K AUD in race-ready condition, and non-running cars can be had for under 100K. Mechanical work isn't actually that bad, especially with the ubiquitous Cosworth DFV powered cars.

The DF<_> lineage were fairly simple engines; just a really well-engineered flatplane V8. Turbocharged DFX(An Indycar version) versions were less reliable, but honestly, protecting and caring for a DFV isn't too much harder than looking after a big Boss 302 or Lamborghini V12. It would need mechanical aid every so often, but not to such a degree that you'd need to hire your own tech.
